~ With Gen Thekchen, Principal Teacher at Bodhisattva KMC (Brighton) ~
Buddha taught wisdom methods to help us live lightly and view the world without grasping at ourselves or others.
Learn to let go of the heaviness and weight of negativity and live as lightly as a dream.
At the moment, we grasp onto our problems and difficulties as being so solid and real that this can cause us to experience fear and suffering. Buddha’s most profound teachings explain that to live lightly we need to understand how things really exist. Once we relax our tight hold on things through these profound teachings and meditations we can live our lives more peacefully and cope with difficulties and problems more easily.
- Develop a view of life that is liberating
- Let go of grasping and inflexibility
- How to live lightly & wisely
“In this experience everything becomes peaceful and comfortable, balanced and harmonious, joyful and wonderful….everything is equal in the peace of emptiness.” Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
We are delighted to invite you to this workshop with visiting guest teacher, Gen Thekchen who will explore this liberating wisdom. With much humour and insight he will explain how we can live with more freedom, peace of mind and flexibility. Ultimately, we will come to experience the supreme permanent peace of mind known as nirvana and thus discover the real meaning of living lightly in the modern world.
Gen Thekchen has been practicing and teaching Buddhist meditation for over 20 years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
