About the course

Everyone wishes to meditate with more concentration, consistency and effectiveness. Within our busy lives, where fitting regular daily meditation is an extraordinary feat of discipline, how can we improve our experience in meditation?

In this workshop, Gen Lekma will use the ancient, yet powerful and effective instructions of the three higher trainings to reveal what you can do, on a daily basis to begin to create conditions that will improve your ability become more disciplined in your daily life, to meditate with deeper concentration and to have the inner wisdom to guide yourself to the deeper levels of experience.
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s example as a supreme meditation master, a yogi of the modern world is a powerful inspiration showing us how we can also attain the meditation results we wish for.

Using the Geshe-la’s example you will discover:

  • How you can become a modern-day yogi or yogini
  • Three steps to improving your qualities as a meditator
  • The confidence needed to attain the spiritual goals you seek

The teacher

Gen Kelsang Lekma

Gen Kelsang Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 25 years of teaching and meditation experience and has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. Our Resident Teacher is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example.

There will be a delicious 2 course vegan lunch available during this course and will be served in our cafe which is an optional extra at £6.50 and must to be booked and paid for in advance by the 26th May to enable us to order the correct quantities.
