The purpose of meditation is to make your mind calm and peaceful. When your mind is peaceful, you feel happy and can enjoy your life and your relationships.
About the course
It’s increasingly common that feelings of worry and anxiety plague our everyday lives and that feelings of insecurity and lacking confidence hold us back from fulfilling our potential. Consequently, we never really feel at ease in ourselves, fully present for our interactions with others, and life can feel overwhelming.
In this 4-week course you will be guided in meditation and Buddhist teachings that have the transformative power to help you step out of this unpleasant experience.
Through learning practical techniques, applicable in daily life, you can begin to reconnect with your own peaceful heart, and to live a truly meaningful and joyful life.
You will learn how to:
- What causes stress, anxiety and worry
- How to stop this unpleasant and often debilitating cycle
- Meditation techniques you can apply to your life to remain peaceful and happy
The teacher
Ben Gallagher has been teaching for many years and is studying on the Teacher Training Programme taught by our resident teacher Gen Kelsang Lekma. He is loved for his sincerity, clear and logical explanations and his obvious good heart. A very respected teacher at KMC Southampton.
