In this guided retreat you will experience the benefits of an away weekend meditation retreat to cultivate the peace of compassion. You will be guided in a series of Buddhist meditations that help to stop negative thoughts that harm you and uplift your mind. Suitable for all levels including beginners.
About the Retreat

Gen Lekma will explain and guide a wonderful sequence of Buddhist meditations known as ‘training the mind’ during this weekend retreat. Meditation and mindfulness training can help you develop the inner resources you need to approach your life with greater wisdom and strength, allowing you to feel calm, peaceful, and happy.
Everyone is welcome. This retreat is suitable for all levels of practitioner, from the absolute beginner to those with much more experience.
You will experience:

This away retreat is in the peaceful, extremely comfortable and beautiful setting of Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in Northampton. This will allow you to completely relax, allow yourself to gather inwards and enjoy the ocean of peace within your own mind.

Gen Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 30 years of teaching and meditation experience and has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. Our Resident Teacher is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example.

Breakfast, Lunch & Supper is included in the price. You have the option of Gluten Free, Vegetarian or Vegan options with the default option being Vegetarian. Please specify within the Notes field during the booking process. Supper will be available on the Friday evening before the start of the first session.
