About the course

We are alive; therefore, we die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this fact.

In our society it is hard to accept the inevitability of death, so when it touches our life, it can give rise to deep grief and strong fear. Buddhism offers a completely different perspective based on a profound understanding of the process of dying, which transforms your view of death and dying.

In this day course visiting Buddhist monk Gen Jigme will explain the life-enhancing impact of developing acceptance of death. You will learn how to use this meditation to peacefully accept the truth, let go of painful grief and discover how it empowers you to appreciate and make the most of your life.

Gen Jigme will also explain what happens as we die, and how you can recognize the close and distant signs of death so you can be prepared and know how to help those that are dying.

This is a very powerful course, both for your own well-being and for developing confidence in helping your loved ones at one of the most important and vulnerable times of their lives.

You will learn how you can:

  • Transform the fear of death into an empowering way to appreciate life
  • Understand what happens in the death and dying process
  • Help loved ones to die peacefully
