About the Retreat

Gain Insights of Emptiness that is Empty of the Eight Extremes

“Emptiness is the way things really are. It is the way things exist as opposed to the way they appear… There is no greater method for experiencing peace of mind and happiness than to understand and meditate on emptiness.” – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Is permanent inner peace possible for you?

In this away retreat in the quiet, and beautiful surroundings of the New Forest you will discover how to reduce and eventually eradicate the mind of self-grasping that causes all our mental pain, inner disturbance and all negative states of mind. You will discover how it is possible to free your mind permanently.

Of all Buddha’s teachings, none are more far-reaching and transformative than his teachings on emptiness. It is through our understanding of emptiness that we can then come to solve all our problems, fulfil all of our wishes for peace and happiness, and be of maximum benefit to others.

Buddha’s profound explanation of the real nature of these eight ways that we grasp at our world gives us the inner tools that we need in order to identify why we get stuck in experiences of suffering, and helps us to move forward to find real freedom and peace of mind.

Over the course of the retreat Gen Lekma will give us commentary to the profound teachings on the Emptiness of the eight extremes – the lack of inherently existent production, disintegration, impermanence, permanence, going, coming, singularity and plurality.

This retreat offers you:

  • Discover the peace that comes from letting go of grasping at yourself and the things in your life
  • Be guided in profound these profound meditations to access the wisdom of Emptiness
  • Give yourself the rare opportunity of a retreat on Emptiness to gain stronger concentration and deeper understanding
