About the Workshop

Loneliness. We’ve all been there. It’s such a painful, isolating feeling — sometimes it feels as if we can never escape it.

Sometimes you can feel alone among others and that is often more painful than when actually alone. Yet it is completely possible to free yourself from loneliness, regardless of your circumstances. Buddhist meditation is not just about developing a peaceful mind. Rather it is a profound method to enable you to gain deep insight into your mind, yourself, and your relationship to others and the world.

In this half-day course, Gen Lekma will explain why loneliness occurs at all and how to protect yourself from unhelpful thinking that leads to feeling lonely and unhappy. She will explain methods to remove your underlying sense of isolation. This will allow you to be open to an authentic experience of joy and connection with others and enable you to enjoy time alone.

You will discover:

  • What causes the painful feelings of loneliness
  • Practical meditations oppose the pain of being alone
  • How to be happy and enjoy your time alone
