About the course

In this weekend retreat you will learn how to become happier no matter what life throws at you. This ancient wisdom is guaranteed to help you find greater peace, joy and well-being. You will take away many meditation methods that will bring much more meaning to the busy, chaos of modern living.
Gen Lekma will lead you through the spiritual inner paths to deeper levels of happiness. She will use the ancient and best–loved Buddhist teachings “Eight verses in Training the Mind” which reveal essential methods for transforming life’s difficulties into ways of developing stable love, compassion and wisdom. Each guided meditation gives a different way of increasing your happiness and sense of well-being.
You will learn:

You are welcome to attend all the sessions, or drop in to as many as you are able to.

The teacher
Gen Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 30 years of teaching and meditation experience and she has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. She is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example
