About the course

Buddhist meditation gives you methods to transform the way you see and relate to the difficulties in your life.
Using Buddhist psychology to understand the mind, you can begin to see why you react with negative emotions and how to use meditation techniques to uplift your mind, enabling you to live a meaningful and happy life.
You do not need to be Buddhist to benefit from these meditations. Everyone is welcome.
You will learn:

  • Essential meditations from the Buddhist tradition
  • How to understand your mind
  • Meditation techniques to make your life happy and meaningful

The teacher

Gen Kelsang LekmaGen Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 25 years of teaching and meditation experience and she has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. She is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example.
