The Four Noble Truths – In this meditation day workshop, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into the essence of Buddhist philosophy. You will be guided on the journey to your own inner peace and understand how to eliminate the cause of negativity within your mind.
Rooted in profound and ancient wisdom, this course explores the fundamental teachings of the Buddha, encapsulated in the Four Noble Truths. Throughout the day, you’ll embark on a mindful exploration of the nature of suffering, its origins, cessation, and the path leading to liberation. Gen Lekma will skilfully guide you through various meditation techniques, allowing you to cultivate mindfulness and experience the liberating peace of these instructions.

Gen Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 30 years of teaching and meditation experience and has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. Our Resident Teacher is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example.
