We remember every day the great kindness of Ven Geshe-la, but on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one day retreat.

OFFERING OUR FAITH – A CELEBRATION OF GESHE KELSANG GYATSO (FREE EVENT)
Join Kadampa practitioners around the world for this special day when we celebrate the birthday of our Spiritual Guide, the Founder of our Centre and of the New Kadampa Tradition , Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
We are celebrating Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day, the anniversary of Buddha’s first teaching in this world.

Gen Lekma will give an introduction to the retreat in the first session.
The format
IN PERSON
LIVE ONLINE (via Zoom webinar – no camera is needed from your side) and will be available on 7 day catchup.
The teacher
Gen Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 30 years of teaching and meditation experience and has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. Our Resident Teacher is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example.
When is it?
Sun 5th June, starts at 10am
Session-1: 10-11.45am (Including introduction to the retreat with Gen Lekma)
Session-2: 12.15-1.30pm
Session-3: 2.15-3.30pm
Session-4: 4-5.30pm (Offering to the Spiritual Guide Puja followed by a tsog party)

Sessions 1, 2, 3
~ The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra.
~ Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples.
In each session there will be a silent period to recite Venerable Geshe-la’s name mantra.
Session 4
~ Offering to the Spiritual Guide with tsog offering.
We will then enjoy each other’s company and have a supper tsog party!
