About the Retreat

In one Sutra Buddha says:
If you realize your own mind you will become a Buddha; you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere“.

This profound advice will help remind you that everything you are looking for—lasting peace, wisdom and happiness—is found by training your own mind.

This away retreat offers a precious opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and immerse yourself in a peaceful long weekend dedicated to inner stillness and renewal.
Set in the tranquil surroundings of Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre, amidst beautiful countryside, this retreat provides the perfect environment to relax, recharge and deepen your meditation practice. Surrounded by nature and away from the distractions of daily life, you’ll have the space to reconnect with yourself and experience the restorative power of a peaceful mind.

Through practical teachings and guided meditations, you’ll learn how to overcome distraction, strengthen mindfulness and develop a meditation practice that is both relaxed and joyful. Each session builds naturally on the previous one, making the retreat accessible whether you are completely new to meditation or already have an established practice.

A peaceful mind is the source of genuine happiness. By learning to rest peacefully within your own mind, you will begin to discover an inner contentment that is not dependent upon external circumstances. As your concentration deepens, it becomes the foundation for greater peace, wisdom and lasting inner transformation.

You will:

  • Experience a deeper sense of inner peace and mental clarity
  • Improve your concentration and emotional resilience
  • Discover practical meditation techniques
