About the course

Do you feel that your life is often so busy and stressful, it’s hard to feel calm and in control? Do you find it hard to react well because of life’s pressures? Do you want to find more balance and a better perspective on life?

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to keep yourself balanced, calm and positive. You’ll discover how to stop yourself from becoming reactive when you meet with situations that trigger stress, irritation and confusion. You’ll learn how to avoid being pulled in many directions and instead stay centred and peaceful by using the powerful Buddhist meditation on equanimity.

You don’t need to be a Buddhist to learn the meditations, everyone is welcome.

You will discover:

  • How to feel calm, balanced and at ease with life
  • A simple meditation that will always bring inner balance
  • How to feel positive & confident no matter what

The teacher

Gen Kelsang Lekma

Gen Lekma is the Resident Teacher at KMC Southampton. She is a senior Buddhist nun with more than 30 years of teaching and meditation experience and has taught in England and the United States for much of this time. Her clear, profound and entertaining talks express the path of wisdom and meditation in a way that is ideally suited for people of the modern world. Our Resident Teacher is greatly cherished by her students for her warm, light and wise example.
