About the course
Stop Overthinking – Stress, anxiety and worry are endemic in our busy, fast paced life. It is hard to give yourself the time and space needed to relax and stop overthinking.
In this half-day workshop Denise will explain how Buddha’s insight into the nature and function of the mind can help to reduce anxiety and stop negative overthinking. You will be guided in meditation techniques that enable you to switch off, gain some mental peace and think clearly with wisdom.
You will learn how to:
- Stop your circular, negative overthinking habits
- Experience the relief of mental peace through meditation
- Learn meditation techniques to think in a balanced and wise way

Denise Cooper is a retired childcare social worker. She has been a Kadampa practitioner for 6 years and one of our meditation Teachers for 3 years. She teaches at our local meditation branch in Locks Heath and sometimes covers general classes at the Centre. She studies at the Teacher Training Programme with Gen Lekma.
