Dealing With Stress & Anxiety
Stress and anxiety are commonplace these days. Definitely made worse for many by the pandemic, which not only brings fear, but also uncertainty. It’s easy to feel out of control and worry excessively about what’s around the corner, which leads to much unhappiness.
We tend to think that situations or people in our life are the main causes of our stress or unhappiness, so we spend a lot of time mentally trying to figure out how to fix those situations or people. This habit of overthinking in an attempt to problem solve or gain control, often makes the mind busier and ultimately increases the stress and anxiety we experience.
In this 4 week meditation course, Anne Lamerton will explain and guide meditations that will help you:
understand the real causes of anxiety
let go of daily stress and tension
keep a positive relaxed mind even when life is chaotic!

ABOUT THE TEACHER: Anne Lamerton.
I began my meditation journey about 8 years ago, just wanting to feel happier, calmer and less reactive. I quickly began to experience the peaceful effect of regular meditation, and I found myself being more patient with my children and more tolerant with others!
It became clear to me that I wanted to share the benefits of Buddhist meditation (and you don’t need to be Buddhist to benefit!) so about five years ago, I became one of the teachers at the Kadampa Meditation Centre in Southampton. Since then I have taught regular classes and courses both in Southampton and Winchester.
Alongside teaching I work at the Kadampa Meditation Centre with the marketing team and in my spare time enjoy my family and 2 black labs!
